The European solar physics division board (ESPD) is organizing a 2nd Summer School in its series to be held on 27 April - 1 May 2026 in Dubrovnik, Croatia covering diverse topics in solar physics. The applications are now open and the submission deadline is January 31st 2026. The school will be in hybrid form. Due to capacity limits of the classrooms and the dormitory the number of students attending in-person is limited to 30-40 students. NANOMETA aims to bring together the international Nanotechnology, Photonics and Materials research communities where most recent and challenging results and plans are discussed in the informal setting on a glorious mountaineering resort.

This conference will bring together leading scientists at the forefront of exploring how energy and information shape living systems. Over recent years, their work has illuminated fundamental constraints of life, from molecular machines to cells, neural networks, and developmental processes. Sessions will highlight cutting-edge topics including noise and information processing, information–energy conversion, and entropy production across biological scales.
