CLEO®/Europe-EQEC 2025

ICM – International Congress Center Messe München Am Messesee 2, München, Germany

The CLEO®/Europe-EQEC 2025 conference will spotlight pioneering advances in lasers, photonics, and optical sciences across diverse technical fields. Renowned for its comprehensive coverage, this prestigious European event gathers leading optics and photonics researchers and engineers. Co-sponsored by the European Physical Society (EPS), IEEE Photonics Society (IPS), and Optical Society (OSA), the conference reflects a robust international presence across laser science, photonics, and quantum electronics. - CLEO®/Europe emphasizes applied physics, optical engineering, and photonics applications, including areas such as laser source development, ultrafast science, fiber optics, terahertz sources, high-field physics, optical telecommunications, nanophotonics, and biophotonics. Meanwhile, EQEC focuses on fundamental research in quantum optics, nonlinear phenomena, quantum information, atom optics, and theoretical and computational photonics. This combination creates a unique platform for exploring topics from foundational light-matter interactions to cutting-edge technology and industry applications. - Highlights of CLEO®/Europe-EQEC 2025 include plenary lectures, keynote and tutorial sessions, invited and contributed talks, poster presentations, and joint symposia, making it the largest photonics-focused event in Europe.

EPS-SIF International School on Energy

Villa Monastero Varenna, Lake Como, Italy

In order to contribute to the training of young scientists working in the energy sector or intending to do so, the European (EPS) and the Italian (SIF) Physical Societies started the Joint EPS-SIF International School on Energy as a collaborative initiative. The Courses are foreseen to take place on a biennial basis in the beautiful venue of Villa Monastero in Varenna, Lake Como, Italy.   The 8th Course (2025) of the School will be devoted to: Nuclear Energy and its Challenging New Technologies   Visit the event website to learn more, submit your application, and compete for scholarships!

Statphys in Lviv

Institute for Condensed Matter Physics of the NAS of Ukraine Svientsitskii Str. 1, Lviv, Ukraine

The Statphys in Lviv satellite conference of Statphys29 is specifically intended to initiate new connections and broaden and deepen connections already made, and to allow statistical physicists in Ukraine to interact with international colleagues without leaving the country.   The Russian war of agression against Ukraine has led to the largest refugee crisis in Europe since WW2, and to very serious disturbances of scientific life in Ukraine. Male scientists below the age of 60 can not cross the state border without special permission, which is not always immediate to obtain. Ukraine has therefore, in addition to all other misfortunes of war, had to face an increased isolation of its scientific community. Read the EPS Statement (March 3, 2022).   The Statphys in Lviv conference follows on an on-line European-Ukrainian conference organized in the framework of the Davydov Readings in December 2023, with the participation of several Board members of the EPS Statistical and Nonlinear Physics Division (EPS-SNPD), and on an upcoming in-person Sweden-Ukraine Conference: Theoretical and Computational Physics, at the Royal Academy of Sciences in Stockholm.

ECAMP15

Congress Innsbruck Rennweg 3, Innsbruck, Austria

The European Conference on Atoms Molecules and Photons (ECAMP) is a triennial conference series and serves as the official conference organized by the Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics Division (AMOPD) of the European Physical Society (EPS).   Scientific topics at ECAMP      Collisions of electrons, atoms, and molecules, highly charged ions, astrophysical processes      Atomic and molecular spectroscopy, photo-induced processes      Femtosecond and attosecond physics, reaction dynamics, coherent control, strong fields      Clusters, nanoparticles, biomolecules, surface interactions and self-assembly      Cold and ultracold atoms, molecules and ions, degenerate quantum gases, ultracold plasmas      Fundamental physics, precision measurements, atom interferometry and atomic clocks      Quantum technologies, quantum optics, cavity QED, quantum information   Commencing in 1982, the conference has maintained a regular schedule, with recent editions held in Salamanca, Spain (2010), Aarhus, Denmark (2013), Frankfurt, Germany (2016), Florence, Italy (2019), and Vilnius, Lithuania (2022). As such, the ECAMP conference series has become the major forum for exchange in atomic, molecular and optical physics in Europe, drawing traditionally between 400 and 700 participants.
