Technology and Innovation Group

The EPS Technology and Innovation Group (TIG) was formed in 1988. It connects individual and associate EPS members as well as laboratories and other institutions interested in the use of technology as used in scientific research and related innovations resulting in applications.

Objectives:

  • To encourage contacts between EPS members and specialists in the domain of scientific (physics) instrumentation, technology and related innovation.

  • To stimulate international co-operation and exchange of information.

  • To contribute, in close connection with other EPS Groups and Divisions, to industrial and EU-policies supporting the goals of EPS.

TIG aims at active collaboration with Associate Members, inviting them to co-host Technology, Innovation and Policy related workshops. Currently, EPS is working on a global approach to engage AMs across all of its Divisions and Groups. TIG will thus engage itself with initiatives cutting across EPS-wide.
